It was only a few years ago that if you wanted a cinema experience, you would either need to have bags load of cash or go to a cinema! Luckily a lot has changed, and I am amazed at the progress with home theater Projectors. Join me as we take a look!

There are only 2 ways, well 3 ways to get a cinema experience. The first way is going to a cinema, the second is with a home cinema, and the third is in an open cinema you drive into.

There is another way, which makes it the forth way, and that is to actually be the actor on the set making the film! For most of us, that is not going to happen!

So, going to a cinema offers the benefits of a cheap way to watch a movie. Then you got the popcorn on the floor, you got a tall person in front of you! All the problems, sometimes it would be great to have a cinema experience in the comfort of your own home!

Often I am asked - aren't home theater projectors expensive to buy? The answer is - no! They used to be, but now, the prices have come down for projectors.

The price for a small projector today is similar in price to a high definition television set. This makes it within the budget of most homes!

* Buying A Home Theater Projector And Having An Amazing Experience At Home!
Imagine today's HD projectors have many benefits. A buying a HD projector allows you to watch movies in high definition, and they allow you to do so much more.

Imagine playing your Nintendo Wii, Sony PlayStation or Xbox on one of these things! There are inputs on the projectors that allow you to connect up your laptop, your Computer, your video game console, DVD player, your satellite or cable connection!

Add to this a projector screen and you really can be amazed at what you find. There is something to note about projectors and that is light.

Projectors don't work so good when external light sources hit on the path of the light. So, a window with light peeking through may be a problem. Like at the cinema, you will need to darken the room.

There are many different sizes, and types of HD projector that you can buy. Some are small and compact, which is great to move around, possibly using it for presentations at work or for business meetings.

There are also permanent setups. Though these are generally more expensive, and require a lot more to get it working - such as mounting on a ceiling.

±1±: Best Buy This is definitely a good value. The amplifier, DVD player, and speaker system all work very well as both a integrated surround stereo for your TV or DVD. The DVD player does a nice job upconverting DVDs, though don't expect HD quality. The iPod dock lets you use the included remote for basic functions (volume/pause/stop/mute/skip/repeat etc.). A very nice feature at this price.

The only issue I have is the sound was somewhat muddy and muffled when playing music CD's or the iPod. I have this in a large family room so it may not be an issue in a smaller area. The system default sound setting is Pro Logic for DVD's, but there are other settings you can use that improve the sound for music playback. But even with that, the music still sounded a bit tinny and lacked depth. At that point I decided to replace the front speakers that came with the system with my old JBL's. These are the old wood cabinet type speakers that everyone had years ago but they still sound great. I kept the rear surround speakers and sub woofer hooked up, ditched the center speaker completely, and now the music sounds great with all the presence and depth I could expect. I was still able to calibrate the speakers with the included disc. The amplifier is powerful enough to drive bigger speakers and now I keep the same music settings for both TV and DVD recordings and they both sound great. One minor drawback is you cannot change the settings for the sub woofer on the amplifier - you have to turn on the TV and make changes through the on-screen menu.

The included speakers most likely sound fine in a smaller area. But if you have a larger room and will also use this as a primary stereo, you may want to consider something with more substantial speakers. The remote is too busy and not well laid out but that is a minor point for me. If you don't care about blu-ray then this system should give you all the basic performance and features you need. Even with using my old speakers, I'm still happy with the purchase. on Sale!
